What is an Instagram puzzle feed?

Do I have to keep posting puzzle pieces forever?
No. Many accounts publish a puzzle as a campaign block of 3, 6 or 9 posts and then return to regular posts. Keep new posts in groups of three so earlier rows do not shift.
Why did my old puzzle feed break?
In 2025 Instagram switched profile thumbnails from squares to 3:4, which cut the edges of square puzzle pieces. Instiles previews the current 3:4 profile view, so you design for what people see today.
What about pinned posts?
Pinned posts always appear first on the profile and push the rest of the grid. Unpin posts while the puzzle is on top, or plan the pinned posts as part of the layout.
